I’m Laurie Mendenhall, a mixed-media artist creating watercolor and acrylic pieces that celebrate memory, emotion, and everyday joy. Inspired by music, childhood nostalgia, and design, my work invites people to reconnect with what makes them feel alive. I call it Art for Every Day Living—because beauty belongs in the moments we live, not just the walls we decorate

My art is a vibrant blend of watercolor spontaneity and acrylic boldness, rooted in emotion, memory, and playful design. Raised in High Point, North Carolina, Laurie began creating as a way to process life’s complexities—turning colored pencils and markers into tools of healing and self-expression.

My work is deeply personal, yet universally resonant. Influenced by architecture, pop culture, and the soundtrack of her childhood, I paint with heart and humor. Whether it’s a whimsical home portrait, a cityscape pulsing with energy, or a floral that feels like a hug, each piece is designed to evoke joy and connection.
