Acrylics Art Landmarks Watercolor

Finding Inspiration

Some of my favorite things to paint are landmarks.  I love preserving history through my own eyes in watercolor.  It’s actually how I began honing my skills. I have developed a couple of different style, but illustration is by far my favorite.  I’ve only completed one landmark in acrylic (Carolina Theater) and it was a lot of fun blending colors together.

Friday, my team at Ralph Lauren (my full-time job) took a field trip to a Winston-Salem institution.  My director grew up eating lunch there on the weekends with his grandfather and wanted to share it with us.   Boy was it good!  I had a couple of hot dogs and didn’t try the barbecue.  I did have an ice cold Cheerwine (get in in the bottle…it’s better) and a locally made B&G Pie.  They aren’t for everyone, but I grew up on them.  My dad would bring them home like some people bring home Krispy Kremes.  I think I am feeling inspired to create some of those childhood sweet memories…..stay tuned!
