There are 3 things I know I need to help me get out of my own way.
- A Mentor. Wikipedia says: A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person. In an organizational setting, a mentor influences the personal and professional growth of a mentee.
- A Life Coach. A life coach is someone who counsels and encourages clients through personal or career challenges. A life coach helps guide clients to reach their ultimate goals. A life coach can help individuals in different areas of their life
- A Therapist. Therapists, or psychotherapists, are licensed mental health professionals who specialize in helping clients develop better cognitive and emotional skills, reduce symptoms of mental illness, and cope with various life challenges to improve their lives.
Throughout my life, I have had each one. Mentors at work and different therapists through different stages of my life. My favorite and consistent one was a life coach. She could help me solve a problem and see something from a new angle so easily. She also created working groups where we would study a book, check-in each week, and coach each other. It was truly a blessing having her in my life for 25 years. After she left this earthly plane, I found another coach. Someone I instinctively recognized as “for me.” I didn’t hesitate reaching out nor did I bat an eye at her price. I knew I needed her. It was scary as hell, but it was sure well worth it.
If you’re ready to start your journey with a life coach, I would be honored to help you navigate your life.
xoxo,
